On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Adesh Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (AIPBS) organized an Essay Writing Competition followed by a Pledge Ceremony on June 2, 2025, at the Adesh University Campus. The event, centered on the theme "Ending Plastic Pollution Globally," aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and promote sustainable, eco-friendly practices.
B. Pharmacy students enthusiastically participated in the event, joined by Dr. Diksha Jindal (Professor, AIPBS). Students showcased insightful ideas and practical solutions to combat plastic waste through their essays. The program concluded with a collective pledge by students and faculty members to minimize the use of single-use plastics and adopt greener alternatives.
The activities were successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sarbjeet Singh Brar (Principal, AIPBS) and Dr. Anupama Setia (Dean Academics), reflecting the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship and student engagement in sustainability initiatives.
